Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, Cogswell's undergraduate degree in entrepreneurship and innovation, with an optional specialty in digital media, provides students with a hands-on education in all facets of entrepreneurship. Students are fully immersed in the venture creation process, gaining a practical understanding of how to plan, launch and grow a cutting-edge project or venture, or to join the leadership team of an innovative company.
Cogswell entrepreneurship students will:

BA Digital Media Entrepreneurship Curriculum

Those is in the digital media specialty will have a full complement of courses in their selected area of digital media, such as animation, game design, digital audio or game engineering. Internships, speakers, teaching materials and faculty will reflect the digital media space in which the student is enrolled.
We seek students who want to collaborate and learn in a team and have good interpersonal skills. Students should be eager to engage in a hands-on, action-based environment which simulates the real-world of entrepreneurship. Those who choose the optional digital media specialization will also have a passion for digital gaming, animation sound or entertainment design. They will want the expertise, base of knowledge and learning experience in digital media as well as the leadership, business knowledge and strategic thinking to succeed in a leadership role in an innovative company or in their own business. Students will be both creative and analytical in their thinking, and comfortable both working in a team and assuming leadership positions.
Many successful entrepreneurs think and work in unconventional, out-of-box ways, which is often a key to their success. We are particularly open to intelligent and passionate students whose unconventional thinking in traditional education may have resulted in less than optimum academic performance.
